LEAD THE WAY: TIPS FOR RECRUITING NEW CORPORATE, GOVERNMENT & EMPLOYER ERC MEMBERS

As an ERC Champion, the more new employer members that you recruit, the greater the rewards to you – and the greater the rewards to the entire ERC community of workforce mobility professionals! Recruiting new ERC members is personally and professionally rewarding! Here are some recruiting tips to assist with your Member-Get-A-Member Campaign recruiting efforts:

  1. Be familiar with the many benefits ERC offers to corporate, government, and military members. Review the ERC Champion Talking Points document developed by your peers on ERC’s Membership Task Force for use with ERC’s Corporate Calling Brochures .
  2. Recommend ERC to your clients and prospects with a positive story about your own membership experiences! Show your enthusiasm and tell firsthand accounts of how your ERC membership has been a great investment in your career. Prospective members will be much more likely to join ERC if you tell our community of global workforce mobility professional’s story with excitement.
  3. Provide your client and prospects with the ERC Web site address: www.erc.org so they can learn more about all the services and resources available to ERC members – and join online!
  4. Personally deliver ERC’s Corporate Calling Brochure & Application and other membership information to your clients and prospects.
  5. Identify the best candidates for ERC membership. The key to successful recruiting is asking the right people to join – your clients and prospects responsible for workforce mobility within their organizations! They will appreciate that you have gone out of your way to provide them with access to ERC’s extensive resources to help them with their responsibilities and careers!
  6. Follow-up with prospective members and see if they’ve joined online or mailed in their ERC membership applications. Remind your clients and prospects that ERC hosts the industry’s annual conferences, delivers exceptional educational sessions, publishes an outstanding magazine and electronic newsletters, and provides extensive research, tax, legal and other resources.
  7. Send an e-mail or handwritten note thanking them for considering ERC membership and expressing appreciation for their support of ERC’s community of global workforce mobility professionals!
